Satellite Snail (2010)

Once upon a time, there was a satellite snail. He floated through space on a small asteroid, adrift in an endless ocean of stars. His only hope of getting home was a tiny satellite dish strapped to his back, which would take in star energy and use it to send out a call for help. It took awhile to gather energy between calls so the snail had plenty of time to stare out into the stars and think. What does a satellite snail think about? What does he dream of? Will he ever return home? Can this small asteroid become his home instead? If someone does hear his call for help, will they come rescue him? He is just a single snail after all. Some people even eat snails as a delicacy. What if a French person found him? What then? Before these thoughts could wear down too heavily on the poor snail, the alarm on his satellite would ring out and he would become distracted by the sound of the beacon as it resonated through the cosmos.
